  • Andrew 12:56AM, Oct 3 2010 Oct.2,2010 I would like to install marble in a kitchen.Has there been any advancements in protecting marble from stains, etc. ? Is there any other natural stone or manmade materials that looks like marble ?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:57AM, Oct 4 2010 Andrew : Some suggestions that are stronger than marble and appropriate for a kitchen setting are: Classic White, White Fantasy, and White Vermont. Overall, marble is fundamentally too soft and porous to be used in a kitchen setting and no sealer will fully protect this delicate material.
  • Jill 05:01PM, Jan 28 2008 I am interested in using a statuary marble for my kitchen countertops. Everything I read, and all builders say this is a bad idea. I have not found anything that really matched the look of this marble. Any advice?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:17AM, Feb 7 2008 Jill: Marble will deteriorate over time. If you accept that fact, you can go ahead. Scratches, staining, etc... will accompany your tops forever.
