Hello. For a price on a small project, please contact the closest sales office to you with the measurements that you require: www.marble.com/contact Please note that this would be a pick-up order (without delivery or installation) because of the size. Thanks!

    Hi,

I am doing a tiled shower and need about a 18x18 piece of
honey onyx to fabricate a seat similar to the image attached.  Where could I go to find a remnant and what
would something like that cost?  Thanks

Hello. It's practical to use Honey Onyx stone as a tabletop application. If it was for a kitchen countertop, I would have a different opinion because of all the oils, juices, and potential staining agents used in cooking, cleaning, ect. However, for a tabletop, you should be fine because generally a tabletop is not a work surface / area. I still recommend to seal the stone to help keep it stain resistant as onyx is naturally porous. Hope this helps!

could one use honey onyx as a tabletop? or not practical?

  • Marble.com - Derek 07:01PM, Sep 1 2011 This Honey Onyx would look breathtaking in a small kitchen, but it's not practical. Onyx is a soft stone, it will stain and chip horribly from daily kitchen use, it's more suitable for a small vanity, bar-top, jacuzzi surround ect.
  • Pearl 06:58PM, Sep 1 2011 the is just so pretty, would the honey onyx look good in a small kitchen counter with not a lot of sun light and also small bathroom floor.
  • Marble.com - Derek 07:07PM, Aug 3 2011 Do you have the honey onyx that is pictured on this page? Where would the granite countertop surface be placed? In the same bathroom or in the kitchen? I would like some more information on the project before I give any suggestions.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:10PM, Aug 3 2011 Take a look at the Astoria and Jacaranda wood. You need to pick up the color of your floors in your counter to tie the space together. Have you considered using the same Onyx of the vanity?
