COMMENTS:
Unfortunately the Onyx is not practicable for a kitchen countertop although this stone is indeed extremely beautiful. Take note that the picture featured on this page (ID: 1015) is with the stone illuminated from the back because it's a naturally translucent material. There are numerous granite colors with red highlights in them. I've created a Comparison Chart for you to compare side-by-side a few of them that I think could complement your design nicely:

I have never seen anything so beautiful and am amazed. I am looking for a backsplash for my kitchen which has white appliances and the cabinets are maple with a honey finish. I do have some red accessories in the kitchen and red mini blinds. Red is my favorite color and if this were granite I would be tempted to use it on my counter. Please advise what type and color of counter top I should use.
I love onice tanzania light ID# 1015. But want a granite countertop. If I use the 1015 for the backsplash what color granite countertop will look excellant with it? What color cabinets? what color wood floor? I would backlight the backsplash. Small kitchen no island.
