  • Stephanie 08:07PM, May 31 2011 I am looking for a piece of something to top a cabinet with, something thin.. 14 inches by 4 feet.. with a finished edge. I took the top off an old China Hutch thought some kind of stone would bring it up to date and cover the hole in the top. Any Suggestions that won't break the bank?
    • All Granite and Marble 05:33PM, Jun 1 2011 Dynasty Brown is a very nice marble with beautiful veining. It falls in the single blue (most inexpensive) price category.
  • Randi 09:07AM, Aug 25 2010 i've seen pietra cardosa listed as a limestone as well - is it durable enough for use as kitchen counters - i am considering it honed. thank you
    • All Granite and Marble 10:37AM, Aug 25 2010 Randi: It's used for kitchen counters, not usually not recommended as the stone is softer than granite. If you're alright with a higher maintenance stone and willing to be careful then I don't see a problem.
  • Barbara 09:37PM, Aug 16 2010 Hi - can you polish slate for use in a bathroom.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:33AM, Aug 17 2010 Barbara: Yes.
  • Scott 10:45PM, Apr 18 2009 What type of stone is this?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:01AM, Apr 20 2009 Scott: It's slate.
