  • Lmotz75 05:06AM, Aug 7 2011 We have purchased a piece of emperador dark that has orange streaks around the white areas--it doesn't look natural, though the seller keeps saying it is. Is it rust or resin?
  • youlanda 09:10PM, Jan 24 2010 i am in atlanta outside of what u serve but on page three the dark emperador vanity top is what i'm using just wanting to know what tile is use around the bathtub and on the floor also.
    • All Granite and Marble 12:22PM, Jan 25 2010 youlanda: I don't have that information, sorry. We only know what marble was used on the top.
  • vidya 02:54AM, Apr 21 2009 is emperador marble available in diff colors
    • All Granite and Marble 09:57AM, Apr 21 2009 vidya: Well, there are two emperadors, dark and light. They're still brown though.
  • Sheila K 05:09PM, Apr 3 2009 Could Emperador be used as a fireplace surround including hearth and a server countertop that is rarely used if properly sealed?
    • All Granite and Marble 07:39AM, Apr 4 2009 Sheila K: Of course you could use this stone for those applications. If you would like to see the fireplace, go to the Fireplaces Gallery and look at picture number 5. http://www.marble.com/countertops/galleries/full/fireplaces/473.html
  • Sheila K 12:58PM, Apr 3 2009 Is Emperador a granite or marble? I've been told it's marble and therefore should NOT be used as kitchen countertop. True or false?
    • All Granite and Marble 02:53PM, Apr 3 2009 Sheila K: True, it's marble. And it is not recommended in kitchens due to its porosity.
  • Lisa 08:55PM, Mar 7 2008 How will Dark Emperador look with ivory/linen color cabinets with a mocha glaze? What what happen if nail polish remover spilled on this type of marble?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:26AM, Mar 11 2008 Lisa: Color-wise it will fit in quite nicely. Regarding the nail polish remover (acetone), it will etch the surface of the stone. That goes for all marbles.
  • Kathy Szoke 02:29PM, Nov 19 2007 Can you tell me what is the color of the lighter marble in the background?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:40AM, Nov 21 2007 Kathy Szoke: That's most probably (hard to tell from the picture) Crema Marfil.
  • carrie A 10:06PM, Jun 26 2007 I am intrigued by the technique of pulling out the center cabinets within a vanity to give a furniture appearance. Does this template cost signaficantly more? Also - with a 90 inch expanse of modular unit vanity (config 18 drawer x 24 x 12 drawers x 24 x 12 drawers ) would it look ok if I pull out only the 24 in cabinets?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:53AM, Jul 11 2007 carrie A: This style will not cost you extra from the granite perspective. If you want to get a quote for specific unit please contact our estimating department at 201-440-6779
