  • Marble.com - Derek 04:29PM, Oct 4 2011 Since it's in the basement, I'm assuming there will not be a significant amount of natural light. Have you thought about a lighter colored granite? This way you can offset and contrast the cherry cabinetry and provide warmth for the design. While the Green Butterfly will work and create an elegant atmosphere, I would personally use a lighter choice such as New Venetian Gold, Santa Cecilia Real, or Kashmir Gold. Hope this helps.
  • Marysalvucci 12:31AM, Oct 1 2011 Hi,

I would appreciate your input. We are putting a small kitchen in our finished basement and right now we are leaning towards cherry cabinets with a cinnamon finish, gray slate floors, and green butterfly granite. The green butterfly granite is really dark and looks more black than green. I was wondering what your opinion would be on how this will all come together.

    Thank you,
    Mary
  • tricia 06:28PM, Apr 10 2010 I'm updating my countertop. I have formica countertop at this time. My cabinets are white and my walls are a dark toupe. My backsplash tile are a light tan with a little bit of grey. The backsplash matches my floor tile. It's the same tile but smaller. I'm thinking that the Golden Rock granite would look best. What do you think? I'm on a budget and cannot spend to much money,my kitchen is very large and I also have an island that's 63"x49". How much does this granite cost per square feet?
    • All Granite and Marble 04:51PM, Apr 12 2010 tricia: Golden Rock is a beautiful choice. It will contrast the cabinets nicely. For pricing please contact the sales office.
  • andrea 02:05AM, Sep 27 2009 if i get golden sun granite slabs and maple kitchen cabinets would it work or not , but the slab i picked has huge dark brown lines in the middle of it. what color wall should i go with since my kitchen and living room is one large room with no partitian in the center.please help me with colors
    • All Granite and Marble 04:35PM, Sep 28 2009 andrea: i think that it would be perfectly doable, the colors compliment each other. i would go with an off-white or soft yellow for the wallpaper.
  • Arlene Kraut 03:38PM, Aug 1 2009 We love your faucet and have purchased a granite a similar color. Where did you purchase the faucet?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:23AM, Aug 3 2009 Arlene Kraut: Sorry but I do not know any information on that particular faucet.
  • Carrie H 01:20PM, Sep 5 2008 cab are butterscotch maple, beige fl tile w glden cast, splash beige traventine. Counters now blk Corian.Ktch hearth has buttery yw walls with red, green furn. SS app/blk. Is this similar to Santa Rita Gold I found locally? Suggest another darker color probably what I need, but I want to make sure I can see a change,I really did like the black.
    • All Granite and Marble 05:17PM, Sep 25 2008 Carrie H: Try Platinum Bahia for a dark one.
  • Deb 09:34PM, Dec 22 2007 Thanks. I think a darker color will go well, but like the chunkier look. Do you think granite that has large chunks of brown with some black, cream, and golden colors will look good with my cabinets? Thanks a lot for your help.
    • All Granite and Marble 12:02PM, Jan 3 2008 Deb: Yes, there are definitely colors that match your description. Just check out our stone gallery.
  • Deb 06:32PM, Dec 19 2007 Can you suggest granite colors for my kitchen countertops to go with butterscotch maple cabinets and natural oak hwd flrs? I like stones with browns, creams, and some gold. Also like the darker stones, but afraid of the upkeep. Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:48AM, Dec 22 2007 Deb: Don't worry about maintenance. As long as the stone has a varied pattern, you really won't have to do much to keep it clean. I would lean towards a darker stone as well. Your combination of colors almost asks for something dark. The good thing about golden rock is that we have it in a few different varieties. The one pictured above is much lighter then the rest, so you might as well get a darker one if you wish.
  • Seri na 08:47PM, Aug 16 2007 I have natural maple finish cabinets and a natural finsh maple floor. Whould you suggest a light color or a dark color for the countertops?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:50AM, Aug 17 2007 Seri na: Probably a dark one. It depends on how much light you have there as well.
  • All Granite and Marble 08:44AM, May 25 2007 For now you have to look for it yourself or ask. We're working on this though.
  • Suzanne 07:12PM, May 24 2007 How can we correlate the name of a granite to the number on it?
  • All Granite and Marble 09:46AM, May 23 2007 Try Tan Brown perhaps. Similar coloring to Indian Mahogany, but no grey and it's fairly consistent.
  • karen 01:26PM, May 17 2007 I am having a very hard time picking a color for my granite countertops. Cabinets-maple with a ginger glaze/floor oak hardwood & black appliances. Any sugestions?? We kinda liked Indian Mohagony but it looks to have greys in it. I love the granites with golds, browns, and blacks swirls-nothing really busy.
  • All Granite and Marble 01:59PM, May 7 2007 This indeed might be a little bit too close to the maple cabinetry, but do not worry. There are variations of this stone (Golden Rock) that are darker, so perhaps one of those will work.
  • Karen 07:52PM, Apr 27 2007 I love this color but not sure how it will look. My cabinets are maple with a ginger glaze and my appliances are black... How do you think this will look? I have been told to stick with something darker but I am favoring the stones with gold, brown and black in them!
  • All Granite and Marble 05:04PM, Mar 20 2007 Both will do fine. They offer very different looks. If your kitchen is small, stay with santa cecilia. Bordeaux might get too busy.
  • Mel 09:39PM, Mar 6 2007 I'm looking for something to go with Red Mahogany Cabinets. What do you think about Santa Cecilia or Creme Bordeaux?
  • All Granite and Marble 04:00PM, Feb 23 2007 The ID# is 193.
  • susan 05:41PM, Feb 19 2007 what is the id number for golen rock
  • Wes 11:27AM, Dec 10 2006 Can a sample of this material be seen somewhere in a showroom etc? Do you have a dealer or showroon in the north alabama area? I'm interested in purchasing this material for our countertops.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:25AM, Dec 15 2006 Wes, we only operate in the Tri-State area. Look for Golden Rock at your local places.
  • All Granite and Marble 07:44AM, Dec 4 2006 This is a granite. The colors are red and dark green. For pricing use the Free Estimate tool.
  • Sheryl T 10:15PM, Dec 2 2006 Is this granite or marble? What are the hues? It appears to be shades of red and gray or is that dark green? What is the price and do you service the North Texas area?
