Hi, I would recommend you to use a warm and not busy backsplash, I have found Mocha Splitface Versailles backsplash for your references, please take a look at the attachment. Regaring to your walls I would suggest you to go with Netsuke SW 6134 Sherwin Williams paints. Good luck !

Great- we've chosen indian mahogany. What are your thoughts on demibullnose edge for all of countertops except for island which we would do the more expensive og edge? Do people ever combine their edges like that?
Also, what color hues for tile backsplash?
Thank you for all your comments, you're very helpful and I will recommend you to others.
All Granite and Marble09:47AM, Oct 24 2009
Julie: That's a great idea, many people go simple around the perimeter and fancy on the island. Although I think the demibullnose is fancy in itself, maybe something simpled like the eased or quarter round.
Julie08:10PM, Oct 19 2009
Thanks for your input on my honey maple cabinets and matching hardwood floor. We've narrowed ourselves down to indian mahogany (like the movement, just not sure if color is too pink) or cafe imperial (chocolate brown color is probably safer but no movement). Would you recommend one over the other? Thank you so much!
All Granite and Marble08:58AM, Oct 20 2009
Julie: Indian Mahogany looks warmer.
Julie11:18PM, Oct 15 2009
Have honey maple cabinets and matching hardwood floor. What color granites would look best? What colors should I stay away from. I was looking at Indian Mahogany granite (black with mahogany swirls). would that work with brown hued tiles on backsplash?
All Granite and Marble09:22AM, Oct 16 2009
Julie: You want there to be at least some contrast, the countertop should not blend in with the cabinets, rather compliment it. The mahogany would look nice. If you like dark greens take a look at the Butterfly family of stones too.

I have cherry (gunnite) cabinets to go with madura gold countertops. The walls are gray with white trim. I have stainless steel appliances so will the madura gold work. Any ideas about the flooring (want hardwood)
All Granite and Marble03:47PM, Oct 12 2009
lucy: A white oak would look good.
Nancy Murray02:09PM, Jun 4 2009
I have chosen Madura gold, the darker tone and am having a difficult time finding tile to compliment. Also a wall color. Any suggestions? My cabinets are a medium cherry with an oak floor. Black appliances
All Granite and Marble08:53AM, Jun 6 2009
Nancy Murray: Try Noce Travertine tile. For wall color, you can use some of the colors within the stone. If you look really close, you'll see some really nice brown and copper tones.
Kim04:56PM, Jun 3 2009
I have light mable cabinets and was thinking about doing new venetian gold granite, what do you think of the combo?
All Granite and Marble05:22PM, Jun 3 2009
Kim: Grab a sample of the stone and check against the cabinet. It may blend in.
Kim06:17PM, Jun 2 2009
I have standard light oak cabinets that came with my home. I'm putting granite countertops in and I am looking at Solarius, what do you think?????
All Granite and Marble04:54PM, Jun 3 2009
Kim: You should be ok. Solarius is a pretty wild stone.
Robyn08:46PM, Apr 30 2009
I just don't want anything to clash. I like the movement of the bordeaux, but I guess I don't want it to scream red. My dilemma is that the granites with caramel colors seem to clash. I would like a neutral with movement that looks rich. I think dark granite always looks rich, but I believe it will make the kitchen dark and small.
All Granite and Marble09:24AM, May 1 2009
Robyn: In that case, why not go with something more gold than orange/red? Take a look at these stones: Amidala Gold, Barbarella, Golden Desert. Let me know what you think.
Robyn04:04PM, Apr 30 2009
I have picked chocolate cherry cabinets by Merrillat Masterpiece. I have window treatments that are coral and beige and white that I am keeping along with a foxy (orange/red) wall. I havent picked the backsplash but expect it to be neutral beige. The floor will be a natural cherry. What granite do you suggest? I like juperana bordeaux, but the slabs in person seem red. I like flowing rather than speckled granite and fear the ones with the amber orange vein.
All Granite and Marble04:27PM, Apr 30 2009
Robyn: What are you looking for color-wise? Red or orange or something else altogether?
Niki10:14AM, Apr 23 2009
Thank you--we will check out the Bahia Brown.
Niki12:47PM, Apr 22 2009
We are picking out granite countertops to go with honey-colored oak cabinets. I like a "warm" look. We have looked at Madura Gold, Copper Canyon, Juparana Classico, and Giallo Ornamental. We like dark, but don't want the upkeep. Is there a warm brown--not too dark--that would contrast well?
All Granite and Marble09:44AM, Apr 23 2009
Niki: Don't be afraid of darker colors. Try Bahia Brown. The pattern of this stone hides dirt really well.
Sally11:57PM, Mar 8 2009
Do you know the cabinet style and finish shown in this photo?
All Granite and Marble01:58PM, Mar 9 2009
Sally: No, sorry.
Michelle03:26PM, Feb 27 2009
Thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking Tropical Brown, Golden Leaf, or Copper Silk. Of the 3, which do you think would look best with the Chocolate Cherry color cabinets? This is starting to make my brain hurt. : (
All Granite and Marble10:37AM, Mar 2 2009
Michelle: Seems like I was way off target with my suggestions! You like the really fine speckled patterns. Well, to answer your question, Golden leaf would be my choice. It's a very warm looking color.
Michelle10:46AM, Feb 24 2009
I am redoing my kitchen & having a very hard time picking out granite. I would like a warm enveloping, cozy kitchen. So far I have picked Kraftmaid Cognac on cherry & SS appliances. Very large kitchen with lots of light. Possibly going with a neutral tile floor & would like a tumbled marble backsplash. Any suggestions on granite color would be appreciated. Leaning towards something darker.
Thank you, Michelle
All Granite and Marble02:58PM, Feb 27 2009
Michelle: Easy way out to get that warm look is to use a gold stone. They all look great with cherry. But since you want a darker stone, take a look at Ibere Crema Bordeaux light (ID 215), pompei (ID 625) or tan brown if you want something more generic. The first two are a bit "loud" though.
Rick12:34PM, Feb 5 2009
Thank you. Now, if you can help me narrow it down to one: Madura gold or Giallo Veneziano, would be a great help. Which one will give more flexibility when color of paint the breakfast area which is essentially an extension to the Kithchen. The floor is ceramic tile, somewhat on a cream base with beige speckles, and so is the backplash with a more uniform very light beige.
All Granite and Marble01:10PM, Feb 5 2009
Rick: They both match equally well. The question is whether you want a smooth, flowing pattern, or a more contemporary speckled look. I believe Giallo Veneziano might look slightly more vivid next to the backsplash, but the deciding factor should be the amount of contrast against the cabinets. Get samples of both stones and put them against the cabinets. The one that "pops" more will make more of a statement in the kitchen.
Rick09:57AM, Feb 4 2009
I am looking into G. Veneziano, or madura gold for Armstrong cabinets in Maple wood- Sedona Cafe brown glaze. Island is about 32*90", and the kitchen has 2 sides with counters. Any suggestions? Thanks
All Granite and Marble11:01AM, Feb 4 2009
Rick: That's a good choice.
jeannie07:46AM, Nov 4 2008
I have traverstine tile in a cream/golden tone with honey oak cabinets, looking for a countertop color, some light small kitchen.
All Granite and Marble04:44PM, Nov 19 2008
jeannie: If you're going for gold, stay as light as you can so that there is still contrast to the cabinets.

I am redoing my kitchen with a light maple with a glaze on the wall cabinets and a dark maple island. What color granite would you suggest? I like giallo venziano to contrast the island. Also, what color should the floor be? They are hardwood. Thanks for any suggestions.
All Granite and Marble05:00PM, Sep 19 2008
loralee: Veneziano is good. For the floor I'd go with a natural maple.
sue08:59PM, Aug 9 2008
I have off white cabinet, stainless appliances and oak floors. What are your thoughts as far as using madura gold for the counters?
All Granite and Marble10:20AM, Sep 19 2008
sue: Sounds good.
Ambica07:44PM, Sep 26 2007
We have dark cherry cabinets and looking for Granite options.. Are there any greenish granites that will go with it? what other colors are suggested?
All Granite and Marble02:15PM, Sep 27 2007
Ambica: Seaweed green maybe? Look it up in the Stone Gallery.
Irene M05:41PM, Aug 19 2007
Would Maudura gold go with kraftMaid, Praline cabinets, and a light, natural looking tile floor?
All Granite and Marble12:06PM, Aug 21 2007
Irene M: Yes, that's one possible choice.
Bridgette Chandler12:57PM, Jul 21 2007
Thank you so much for your helpful response. I did send another question 7/21 requesting a suggestion of red-amber tone granite instead of gold tones to go w/stain. applia. and maple cabs and coord. w/Red onyx. I appreciate you time. Bridgette
All Granite and Marble02:55PM, Jul 21 2007
Bridgette Chandler: Thank you :)
Bridgette12:08AM, Jul 19 2007
I'm doing a stone carpet in my enty foyer. Multi Red Onyx 12 x 12 tile is the frame and we're considering Madura Gold granite as the filler. Can you suggest other gold tone granites that may blend better? We would do our counter tops in the same granite. Thank you for any assistance you may provide.
Sincerely,
Bridgette
All Granite and Marble04:13PM, Jul 20 2007
Bridgette: Good options may be Golden Valley, Golden Oak, Desert Sand if you prefer more uniform patterns. If you want to go a little more crazy try Desert River.
Deanna09:08PM, Jul 11 2007
Is there a vast difference between Madura Gold Light and Madura Gold?
All Granite and Marble10:51AM, Jul 12 2007
Deanna: Madura Gold Light is slightly lighter, brigter than regular Madura Gold.
Lynn03:38AM, Jul 10 2007
I have a cherry cabinet with Burgandy stain and licorice glaze. Do you have any suggestion for my granite countertop that would match with my small kitchen and no direct sunlight?
All Granite and Marble10:38AM, Jul 12 2007
Lynn: I would Definately go with something light. Giallo Ornamental may be good choice if you like granites with uniform pattern. Burgundy spots will complement your cabinets and white, creamy background lighten up the space.
Dawn03:09PM, Jul 9 2007
Hi, My cabinets are cherry with honey stain and choc glaze. I was thinking of mudura gold or solarius. what do you think. Any suggestions??
All Granite and Marble12:01PM, Jul 11 2007
Dawn: They are both excellent choices.
Jeanne12:48PM, Jul 9 2007
I have off-white cabinets w/a little choc. glaze, honey oak floors, black and stainless appliances. I like Baltic Brown, but I looking for something w/ more vaining/movement. What would you suggest?
All Granite and Marble11:56AM, Jul 11 2007
Jeanne: Baltic Brown definately has the right pallete of colors to complement the interior. It will be hard to find the same pallete in stones with a lot of movement.
Mary09:43PM, Jun 18 2007
Can you give me the numbers for Golden Beach, Kashmir Gold and Golden Valley
Jane03:58PM, Jun 1 2007
do you have a granite named 'Rosewood' and what do you recommend for floor & backsplash??
All Granite and Marble05:03PM, Jun 15 2007
Jane, I'm sorry but I do not recall that name.
All Granite and Marble09:42AM, May 23 2007
Golden Beach, Kashmir Gold, Golden Valley.. to name a few.
Angie10:44AM, May 16 2007
What granite would you consider as more subdued than this? Can you please recommend a few???
All Granite and Marble03:08PM, May 15 2007
I would go with something subdued. Perhaps even more than the Madura gold that you're looking at.
Angie08:14PM, May 10 2007
What kitchen granite colors might look the best-- medium cherry cabinets with hardwood floors-stainless steel appliances--red oriental carpet and drapes--
All Granite and Marble01:57PM, May 7 2007
It might be a bit too much of the same tones.
Mary12:21PM, Apr 27 2007
Will the sapphire blue work too or will it be too dark?
All Granite and Marble09:51AM, Apr 27 2007
Stainless steel is rather neutral so golden granites will work.
Mary10:23AM, Apr 21 2007
Thanks. Right now we are thinking of sapphire blue granite. Would the golds work with stainless steel appliances?
All Granite and Marble09:00AM, Apr 19 2007
Yea, that will work. Any of the golds will do.
Mary02:43PM, Apr 15 2007
Would this color of granite (madura gold) work well with cherry chocolate glaze cabinets? Any other suggestions?
