The granite featured is Golden Valley. The ornate waterfall edge really makes the island shine. The warm highlights of the granite bring this kitchen to life.
Perhaps the Alfagres line 18" x 18" sized Shell color porcelain tile would be appropriate and a warm compliment. I've attached a picture for your reference.

i have maple mocha glazed cabinents i am trying to match floor tile what color would best fit for a match
Izzie12:27AM, May 4 2010
Thank you for your response. What is your opinion of doing the typhoon bord. granite as a backsplash as well? It has some benefits like easy cleaning. Is it always recommended that a tile splash is used for contrast?
All Granite and Marble09:19AM, May 5 2010
Izzie: The pattern might be a little too busy, i'd go with a simpler tile backsplash, and use it for contrast as you said.
Izzie06:47PM, May 2 2010
I am remodeling my kitchen and need help. My cabinets are maple stained in nutmeg/cherry, my granite is typhoon bordeaux, flooring is light creamy travertine. The kitchen is small but gets plenty of light. I can't decide if I want to do granite as the backsplash or pick a tile. What do you recommend? If I need to go with a tile, what color do you recommend? I found one that was somewhat mosaic in crema marfil small pieces with bits of burgundy marble...will that be too busy
sharaz04:45PM, Nov 6 2009
Hey, what's the price for this island?
All Granite and Marble04:57PM, Nov 6 2009
sharaz: For pricing please contact the office.
Kelli12:25PM, Jun 17 2009
Can you tell me the dimensions of the island?
All Granite and Marble12:19PM, Jun 18 2009
Kelli: 64"x30"?
Kelli11:31AM, Jun 17 2009
Could you please tell me what the dimensions are for this kitchen? I'm remodeling a house with an 11X21 kitchen and would like an island.
All Granite and Marble12:19PM, Jun 17 2009
Kelli: It seems to be close to that size. Maybe a 15 x 20.
Renee08:27PM, Jun 10 2009
Hi, I have golden maple cabinets and a med-dark wood floor. My back splash is a taupe/tan tile. Trying to pick a marble countertop. I personally like the black/brown marble. I want a rich look not too busy. Unfortunately I have white appliances that I cant change out for now. I will be selling my home in about 3 years. So resale appeal is inportant. Thankyou
All Granite and Marble10:24AM, Jun 11 2009
Renee: The white appliances do make it tough. Try Giallo Fiorito.
raquel07:52PM, Oct 11 2008
I should say the daisies on my mexican tile are more gold than orange.
Raquel07:22PM, Oct 11 2008
I have mexican tile backsplash the tile background is off white with a large orange daisy-like flower in the center. I need new granite counters that would go against this tile. I am thinking of madura gold. Would this look okay? Our floors are brick and our appliances are stainless steel and/or black. Would this look okay?
All Granite and Marble09:38AM, Nov 19 2008
Raquel: Very good choice.
Maria11:40AM, Jul 25 2008
I am having Kraftmaid Cherry Cabernet Cabinets installed soon and am thinking of either Benjamin Moore Cherry Stain or Minwax Golden Pecan on red hardwood floors. I would like to paint the walls a gold color; what color granite and backsplash would you suggest?
All Granite and Marble03:23PM, Jul 25 2008
Maria: Golden Valley, Kashmir Gold, Juparana Golden Vyara... these are some that will fit. Check out the Stone Gallery for more options.
furi11:33PM, Jun 16 2008
I have dark scraped wood throughout the house. The family room is connected with a earthy greeny/grey, with a teal accent color.
furi11:32PM, Jun 16 2008
I have the same granite.I like modern.Problem: I have cathedral kitchen cabinets in honey oak.The floor has beautiful with 12 by 24" of brown and cream tile. The walls are pale green. I want to paint the cabinets. Should I go with cream, or chocolate kiss by olympic, or more of a deeper brown, swiss chocolate by valspar?
All Granite and Marble02:04PM, Jul 8 2008
furi: I would go dark. I don't know the two brown colors, but they sound ok.
kathy11:26PM, Apr 18 2008
I have white washed oak cabinets and floors. I have a fireplace in ubatuba tile. I am struggling to find the right granite for the counter tops. The only thing that seems to work is verdi butterfly but I like the med range warm colors better. Its hard to put w/white wash cabinets. HELP
All Granite and Marble03:41PM, May 19 2008
kathy: Why not something from the Giallo Family? White shouldn't be a problem to match to.
Katie02:47PM, Mar 24 2008
would love your opinion...
maple mocha glaze cabinets, beige tile floor not too much light in the kitchen would you recommend a darker color granite i.e. something black for a contrast or would something like this color work? thank you
All Granite and Marble05:52PM, Apr 4 2008
Katie: Black might be way too dark with limited lighting. I would stick to earth tones in the medium browns. Check out some of the darker Giallo's.
Jyoti11:58PM, Mar 15 2008
Hi
Would love your advice. We have light oak cabinets and a while backsplash. We also have a light beige tile on the kitchen floor. what color of granite would look good with that? Thanks.
All Granite and Marble11:08AM, Apr 4 2008
Jyoti: Really anything darker than the wood is. Stay in the warm tones and you'll be ok.
Heidi10:59PM, Feb 28 2008
Please suggest a few granites for creme cabinets with coffee glaze and sable island. Floors will be oak w/ dark stain. I prefer veins vs. speckles - I like Vyara Gold but afraid it will look gray. The granite above looks nice but will it make my creme cabinets look yellow?
All Granite and Marble10:45AM, Mar 3 2008
Heidi: No, I don't think it would. Certainly, it would tie into the cabinets a bit, but because of the patter, it should stand out quite a bit.
dennis01:35PM, Feb 22 2008
I ordwered the counter tops on Wednesday they came and measured on Thursday They will be installing the tops on Tuesday unbelievable I ll let you know how they turn out
Nonie McKie03:03PM, Jan 21 2008
What is the name of the white marble that is not as porous as regular marble and it is being used for kitchen chefs (pastry boards and cutting boards as well as all over countertops)
All Granite and Marble10:02AM, Jan 22 2008
Nonie McKie: I see no relation to the photo above, but you're probably thinking of Statuario.
Karlee01:31PM, Jan 7 2008
How thick are the counter tops? 1 1/2"?
All Granite and Marble08:51AM, Jan 8 2008
Karlee: 1 1/4" actually.

Does granite Stain?
All Granite and Marble10:05AM, Dec 4 2007
David B.: When properly maintained, it is nearly stain proof. For more information visit the FAQ section of the website.

I noticed you dont have the color of granite on your website that i ordered
Vickie04:30PM, Sep 30 2007
Does granite contain radio active materials?
All Granite and Marble08:46AM, Oct 1 2007
Vickie: No, absolutely not. You're probably thinking of Radon gas. But that's not an issue. Only very few stones contain it, and the amounts are very insignificant. Marble Institute of America has tested this, and found that Radon is not a problem with granite.
All Granite and Marble11:12AM, Jul 11 2007
The correct name is Golden Valley :) Kashmir Gold and Golden Valley come form the smae quarry and they are very similar so it is easy to mistken them for another. :)
Mark T. Bobitka07:28PM, Jul 9 2007
I am trying to sell my home. I have old plain white countertop. I have maple cabinets and a fairly new white tiled floor. Now, I think your golden valley would match my home. Do you think this is a good color . .. I am looking for a maple or creme type finish. What do you think? Leave an e-mail at bobitkam@msn.com
All Granite and Marble10:23AM, Jul 12 2007
Mark T. Bobitka:
I think that Golden Valley will be a good match. It also depends on other elemts of the decor like wall colors etc. You may also look at Harvest Cream or Cream Italia.
Karen09:11PM, Jul 7 2007
You mention that this stone is called Kashmir Gold. However at the top of the page it states its called "Golden Valley" Which is the correct name? Thanks!
Karen04:18PM, Jul 6 2007
Hi, do you sell islands with unfinished wood?
All Granite and Marble11:01AM, Jul 11 2007
Karen: No we do not sell any furniture.
All Granite and Marble05:29PM, Jun 15 2007
I'd say it depends a lot on the size of your kitchen but try something medium dark to get some contrast going there. Giallo Veneziano perhaps?
All Granite and Marble04:49PM, Jun 15 2007
We are updating the website to link the pictures in the gallery with the Stone Selection Tool. Therefore the names are not currently shown. Try looking in the previous comments to find the name. This particular stone is Kashmir Gold.
Josh10:23PM, Jun 10 2007
AGM in a few post people have asked for the counter top name in this post and others. You reply back but you leave out the name.

What would be the price for a 26x80
tim03:03PM, Feb 9 2007
We installed a tile backsplash on a 45 degree angle above our laminate countertops. We have now decided to install granite. Would you recommend installing the granite with a backsplash just like the laminate, or installing the granite with no granite backsplash, and adding to the existing tile backsplash. Thanks
All Granite and Marble04:39PM, Feb 12 2007
Tim, the second option sounds better. A small granite backsplash is rather tacky. Either do the full splash or none at all.
All Granite and Marble09:12AM, Feb 8 2007
Well, the stone itself is in the middle pricewise, but the edge is the most expensive one out of the premium group. So that look is costly.
pheadra08:41PM, Feb 7 2007
i really like the island how much would that look cost.
Betty09:09PM, Jan 9 2007

Is this countertop granite or marble
Barbara08:42PM, Jan 4 2007
This matches my counter in the kitchen. How much would something like this cost? How can I find out?
Thank You,
All Granite and Marble09:39AM, Jan 5 2007
Barbara: Get the dimensions, draw a simple layout and fax it over to us.
Wendy09:46PM, Jan 3 2007
I have always thought that kitchen counters needed to be of granite because it is far less porous than marble. But I love a gray veined white marble and I am seeing a lot more of it in use now. Is it foolish to use marble instead of granite to replace my tile countertops?
All Granite and Marble09:49AM, Jan 5 2007
Wendy: It really is your choice. Be aware thought that marble countertops installed in a kitchen are not covered by any type of warranty. It is nearly impossible to protect marble completely in a kitchen. It's far too porous and will stain regardless of sealing. Unless you plan to just look at it and not prepare/eat food on it, you can do it.
All Granite and Marble11:18AM, Dec 9 2006
Just the island with a simple edge would be around that price. This is a premium stone.
meghan 01:40PM, Dec 6 2006
just the countertop is $700?
Kathy02:02PM, Dec 1 2006
I really love this look my husband and I are moving and would love and island for our new kitchen. How much would something like this cost? Just the basic cabnit 2 door 2 drawer look. We have a budget of about $700.00
All Granite and Marble07:39AM, Dec 4 2006
Kathy, this island is very expensive. Mainly because of the Waterfall Edge. You could do something of similar size for around $700 using simple edge.
