Hi Monika. Are you leaning toward a dark or light cabinet color? For a nice contrast and crisp & clean feel, then you can use a stark or antiqued white cabinet color. If you want warmth and to complement the Tiberius granite, then I am leaning toward a wood such as cherry or red mahogany. Best of luck!

Marble.com - Derek06:10PM, May 8 2012
Yes! there are lots of suggestions that fit your criteria nicely. The Colonial Cream you mentioned is appropriate, along with choices such as New Colonial Dream, Romano Delicatus, Tiberious, and Zeus. Hope this helps!
Sandr04:58PM, May 8 2012
I like more variation in the stone. Colonial Cream seems to be more defined color. Not really attracted to a consistent speckled pattern although some speckling is a nice accent. For this project, I would like to stay light. It is a Florida house so with the dark floors, I would like to keep it light. If the cabinets were a pure white, I would have looked at a quartzite that has the very stark white and some grey veining but with the cream color I don't think the grey veining will look as smart. Do you have any suggestions for really whiter backgrounds will more of a brown/gold accent?
Marble.com - Derek03:54PM, May 8 2012
Since this is quite an open design, let me ask you some questions to find out what kind of granite you're attracted to. Do you enjoy movements and veins in the stone, or a more consistent, speckled pattern? Are you leaning toward a dark or light color? For the separate island, you could use a different countertop material such as butcher block or marble.
Sandr01:34AM, Apr 29 2012
We are building and have an open floor plan. I am putting in cabinets that are color silk by Homecrest which is an offwhite color. I will have medium dark hardwood floors nearby or even possibly in the kitchen. What are some suggestions for the granite. There is a small center island in addition to the island that separates the living space from the kitchen.

The Giallo Napoleone is an excellent pick, this granite should compliment honey oak wood nicely. Along with light oak for the floor, it seems like your set-up will be warm yet airy and open. For the backsplash, a tumbled Noce travertine tile is a good option, and the black sink will look very sleek, go for it! Going back to the granite options, a slightly darker color tone would also look very nice with a black sink. Take a look at Tropical Brown. Brushed bronze knobs would tie-in the design appropriately. Hope this helps.

My husband & I are sr, citizens trying to upgrade the look of our 33 year old home and on a tight budget, Our kitchen cabinets are golden oak which have turned more orangy with age, Still in very good condition, However, the center of the cabinets are an inexpensive oak paneling with grooves like you see on walls, We are considering replacing the door centers with white frosted glass, Our kitchen is small and dark, Am thinking Giallo Napoleone for the countertops, Received a reasonable quote on that one, Our floor is light oak, Does this color granite make sense, Also, installing under counter lights, Don't have any idea what to use for the back splash. Want to go with a black blanco sink, Also, don't know what to get as far as the color of faucet, hinges and door pulls, Any suggestions?
Anna03:54PM, May 12 2010
It is a Swanstone Nero sink.
All Granite and Marble08:31AM, May 13 2010
Anna: A bronze colored faucet will look better with a dark granite sink than stainless faucet. But if you're going to choose the stainless sink route, then matching faucet is safe and the way to go.
Anna01:11PM, May 12 2010
I will be using Santa Cecilia countertop with Troy Travertine Tumbled backsplash and magohany cabinets.
Deciding between a swanstone granite sink and stainless steel sink.
Will stainless steel faucets go well with swanstone granite sink?

i have a choice between peacock green or new venetian with classic cherry with black glaze cabinets. is the venetian similar to the vyara? i chose the green but am having second thoughts.
All Granite and Marble08:26AM, Jan 27 2010
michele: I'd go with the lighter NVG for more contrast, it will create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I am redoing my kitchen with cherry cabinets with fruitwood stain (darkish color) and am torn between the Juparana Golden Vyara and the Seaweed Green - haven't picked floor or backsplash yet since want to pick granite first - any recommendation on which way to go?
All Granite and Marble10:29AM, Jan 26 2010
Debbie: Juparana Golden Vyara -- its rich and inviting.
Kathy09:58PM, Oct 22 2009

Will Juparana Florence granite go with maple cabinet with pecan finish?
All Granite and Marble09:05AM, Sep 15 2009
Richard: Make sure it does not blend in too much by putting a sample of the cabinet to the slab before purchase.

Tom12:32PM, Aug 22 2008
I have cherry cabinets similar to ones shown above (maybe a little more reddish). I am up in the air between this stone and milky white (stone id 317). I have hardwood floors (light) and light beige walls. Which would you recommend? Thanks
All Granite and Marble04:48PM, Sep 19 2008
Tom: I think Juparana has a lot more character, even though it is very subtle in overall appearance. That would be my choice.
Rod02:02PM, Jun 15 2008
We are just about ready to tear out perfectly good tile and install granite slabs and tumbled marble backsplash, my wife is worried that her cooking will stain the tumbled marble, has anyone had any staining problems with tumbled marble, I figure once it is sealed it should be ok.
All Granite and Marble01:58PM, Jul 8 2008
Rod: I'd say it's a matter of time before you stain it. Tumbled marble is rather porous and even sealing doesn't protect you much. Go for a textured porcelain tile if you intend to cook a lot.
Arriana Soza06:51PM, Mar 12 2008
Love this kitchen look. What flooring would recommend - tile or hardwood? And what color?
All Granite and Marble02:48PM, Apr 3 2008
Arriana Soza: Tile will definitely be more practical. Not sure what color though. Something imitating travertine perhaps?

Can you tell me if these cabinets shown are chocolate glaze? Also the color of the wood on the floor. I love this view I am planning on remodeling our kitchen in Kraftmaid Chocolate glaze cabinets. Are there other granites that you would recommend to go with this color cabinets? Thank you.
All Granite and Marble04:21PM, Sep 10 2007
Debbie: You can go with a lot of the golds, especially the lighter ones, as they keep the same warm tone but create lots of pleasant contrast. As far as the glaze, we're not sure.
Sam11:11AM, Aug 29 2007
Will this granite go with hictory cabinets(med. shade)? In the living area next to an open kitchen, we have red/orange drapes (Southwest decor).

Hi, We just saw a granite countertop in the color silver blue. However, no one seems to to have this in stock. We were told from one vendor that the silver in the granite rusts. Is that true? If not, where can we find it bc we simply adore it!
All Granite and Marble02:15PM, May 7 2007
Maria, you're probably talking about a granite called Azul Aran. This stone needs more maintenance in order to keep its appearance. It can rust because it contains large patches of iron and that gives it the "silver" shine.
dm12:29PM, Apr 27 2007
are these cabinets cherry? would juparana Golden Vyara work well with cherry?

Thank you. It appears to be a beautiful stone. Does it have much color variation. Looks to have some redish.

AnnaM05:39AM, Feb 21 2007
I will probably use Rosa Porrino granite along with beige cabinets. What do you think wll it be ok?
JE01:51AM, Feb 21 2007
I've seen the Golden Vyara with lighter color (carmel) cabinets and wanted to get some thoughts on the combination of the two.
All Granite and Marble03:56PM, Feb 23 2007
JE: Getting the granite too close to the color of the cabinet is not good. It will make it blend in and loose its appeal.
All Granite and Marble03:52PM, Feb 12 2007
Golden Vyara will compliment your colors without blending in too much. The more sunlight - the better. It will help bring out the color of granite.
cindy08:04PM, Feb 11 2007
we have a lot of sun with southern exposure and white cabinets with red oak hardwood floors. other colors adjacent to the kitchen are tans and brick tones. should we go light or dark in our granite selection. Any suggestions? I love the look of Golden Vyara. WE live in Oregon and I like to keep things warm and bright!
