Hello. I am embarrassed to say, but actually and unfortunately I am not sure what a pearl color cabinet is. Can you attach a picture to your response of the color of your cabinet, or provide me with a website link to one? Thanks!

  • Peigicuig 04:05AM, Aug 23 2012

We are renovating our kitchen and getting pearl cabinets and would like some help with the granite color touse with the cabinets, the backsplash and the floor. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

  • Marble.com - Derek 05:23PM, Feb 4 2012 I'd use a warm, golden color as Kinga is hinting toward. It would be helpful if you provide us with more information on what kind of granite you're attracted to, but from my preliminary analysis, I recommend to look at choices such as Sanguine C, New Colonial Dream, and Sunflower. For the wall color, I'd use Benjamin Moore "Linen White" or "Navajo White".
  • Marble.com - Kinga 05:20PM, Feb 2 2012 Do you like rich movement like the Shalimar Gold? Or do you prefer tight pattern like New Venetian Gold?
  • Rravi 10:45PM, Jan 31 2012 Please advice what color granite & wall paint will go well with Whiskey brown maple cabinets in the kitchen with a brazilian walnut flooring in the vicinity, in the family room.
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:18PM, Nov 17 2011 As in my previous responses to this question, I feel that Vyara Gold would look very nice against your cabinet color.
  • Barb 02:57AM, Nov 15 2011 I have ordered but not yet  installed vyara gold granite countertops. I am second guessing myself and worrying that the peachy undertones may clash with my cherry cabinets that are medium dark brown with a reddish undertone. SOS! Barb
  • Marble.com - Derek 02:12PM, Oct 11 2011 I feel that even a color such as Country Natural Hickory by Armstrong is not too dark and would fit your design very nicely, however Kinga's suggestions are wonderful! I've attached an example for your reference.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 03:39PM, Oct 10 2011 Checkout Canadian Maple, White Wash Oak and White Wash Maple all by Schon. I feel going light on the floor will give your space the contemporary feel you are after. Even if you eventually decide to change the style of the kitchen or home, light floors will not clash with other design elements because they are neutral. Let me know what you think!
  • Helen 09:00AM, Oct 9 2011 What color engineered wood flooring will look good  with cherry chocolate glaze cabinets mission style with long brushed nickle handles. We want a contemporary style. The flooring will be through out the house except the bathrooms. We also have Java colored furniture in the bedroom. We have searched and searched and can only seem to find more rustic type flooring. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  • Marble.com - Derek 05:46PM, Oct 4 2011 Sure! I think something such as a 2" x 2" tumbled travertine Azteca Mocha blend would look very rich and warm incorporated into your set-up. I've attached a picture for you to visualize.
  • Shyluerh 07:58PM, Oct 2 2011 I need some help. In my new kitchen I have chosen fairfield nutmeg cabinets, saint cecelia granite countertops, meadowview oak saddle hardware floors but need a kitchen back splash idea. Can anyone help me with this? I really would appreciate it.
  • Shyluerh 07:57PM, Oct 2 2011 I need some help.  In my new kitchen I have chosen fairfield nutmeg cabinets, saint cecelia granite cabinets, meadowview oak saddle hardware floors but need a kitchen back splash idea.  Can anyone help me with this? I really would appreciate it.
  • Marble.com - Derek 01:47PM, Aug 17 2011 A Thassos marble tile with Blue Celeste inserts would compliment the Quati Blue granite perfectly. Let me know what you think! I've attached an image for you to get an idea of what I mean.
  • J Lyons 03:21PM, Aug 15 2011 I originally thought I wanted tunas green for my countertops, but I went looking today and Azul Quati caught my eye.  With maple cabinets and stainless steel appliances, what kind/colors of tile would you recommend for a backsplash?
  • J Lyons 01:22PM, Aug 9 2011 Thank you!
  • J Lyons 01:21PM, Aug 9 2011 Thank you!
  • Marble.com - Derek 01:02PM, Aug 9 2011 Kinga's backsplash suggestions are on-point. If you're going to use a tumbled marble, then the 'Botticino' variety is recommended. For wall color, a soft palette such as Benjamin Moore 'Rich Cream' is a solid and attractive choice.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 09:16PM, Aug 8 2011 The Tunas Green granite or ‘Parana Green’, as we call it, tends to look quite nice against pale yellow or tan tiles. For a modern look, a yellow or tan subway tile would look fantastic. For added visual interest, you can use a white and yellow subway tile combination to create your favorite pattern for example a boxed look behind the stove or interchanging tiles on the entire backsplash. For a more traditional look, a tumbled marble would look fantastic. Let me know what you think so far!
  • J Lyons 07:55PM, Aug 6 2011 Hi.  I have maple cabinets and I'm thinking of tunas green granite countertops.  Any suggestions for a backsplash and wall color?  Thanks!
  • Marble.com - Derek 03:44PM, Jul 27 2011 You can consider using Santa Cecilia as your full backsplash material! Using the stone up to the upper cabinets will create a clean and cohesive look. Just some food for thought. If not, Kinga's suggestion of Durango travertine is wonderful. Another option could be tumbled "Noce" travertine tile.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:43PM, Jul 27 2011 A tumbled Durango travertine tile would look lovely in your setup. If your Santa Cecilia has a lot of the red flecks, consider using a red glass tile accents in the backsplash. If your granite has a different color flecks, pull out that color on your backsplash using small accent tiles. Hope this helps!
  • Mcalise1 04:50AM, Jul 27 2011 Hi.  Remodeling my kitchen struggling with a back splash idea. I've got cherry chocolate glazed cabinets, san cecilia granite countertops, and light beige tile to match the granite.  I have no idea about the black splash. Thanks!
  • Maureen 01:24PM, May 5 2010 I am installing honey maple cabinets with coffee glaze, a bone/beige with light brown veins tile floor what do you suggest for granite color? My kitchen is approx 11x17 centered in middle of house & only window is 60 wide in eating area. We've gone with a lighter floor & cabinets to make it brighter but what about countertop? Thx
  • Char 04:09AM, Apr 30 2010 I have cherry floors and white washed oak cabinets. Also one wall is 4 sided log, a golden color. Would you recommend Santa Cecelia, Giallo Ornamental, or New Venetian Gold? Santa Cecelia colors look best, but is it too busy?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:10AM, Apr 30 2010 Char : It's not too busy, Santa Cecilia would compliment the light cabinets and it's garnet flecks pick up the cherry floors. Go for it!
  • All Granite and Marble 03:59PM, Apr 29 2010 chris: I'd go with a stone like Crema Bordeaux.
  • chris 09:53AM, Apr 29 2010 i like movement..looked at creme antartida..typhoon bordeaux and verde mantica (?spelling). not sure to go light or dark either
  • chris 06:30PM, Apr 27 2010 i have black galaxy floors with maple whiskey (orangy)cabinets and having great difficulty matching a granite counter
    • All Granite and Marble 10:23AM, Apr 28 2010 chris: Any colors you've looked at so far? Do you like movement (veining) or a more consistent (speckled) pattern?
  • Jill 01:17PM, Apr 19 2010 I am trying to find some tile for my floors that match my granite counter tops which is caladonia. Do you have any suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:38AM, Apr 20 2010 Jill: Try Daltile, Speckled Field tile line: Desert Gray Speckle color.
  • hollywood 09:33PM, Apr 18 2010 i have dark brownish colored cherry cabinets with dark red oak wood with dark red oak stained floors. Stainless appliances. Wanted to go dark , but wondered if Santa Cecelia would be a better choice. Attracted to elegant looks. Uba tuba???
    • All Granite and Marble 09:23AM, Apr 20 2010 hollywood: IF you're thinking about going dark, then Butterfly Antique is a better choice. Santa Cecilia would contrast the cherry tones in your kitchen nicely, and it even has some darker garnet flecks to compliment those tones.
  • joanne 09:56PM, Apr 12 2010 i have chocolate maple cabinets (still can see grain) and natural hickory floor. will lapidus go? or what would u recommend?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:55PM, Apr 13 2010 joanne: Lapidus is a nice choice, very rich pattern. Another stone is Solarius.
  • Craig 11:09PM, Apr 11 2010 Hello! I've got Thomasville maple cranberry cabinets and wonder if cecilia granite would go well. would caledonia look better? Thanks so much.
    • All Granite and Marble 12:37PM, Apr 13 2010 Craig: I'm leaning towards the Santa Cecilia, it has some wine colored flecks that will compliment the cranberry tone in your cabinets.
  • Stonesqd 09:34PM, Mar 24 2010 What is the difference between Giallo Ornamental and Santa Cecilia?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:24AM, Mar 25 2010 Stonesqd: Giallo Ornamental has a darker beige and less garnet flecks.
  • lynn 02:49PM, Mar 23 2010 i have cherry cabinets that are more brown than red, would betularte granite look good?
    • All Granite and Marble 04:53PM, Mar 23 2010 lynn: I'm not sure what that stone looks like.
  • Archana 03:45PM, Mar 22 2010 For the fireplace, does the valleybrrok fairfield stone go well?
    • All Granite and Marble 05:01PM, Mar 22 2010 Archana: I'm not sure what this stone looks like.
  • Archana 09:50PM, Mar 4 2010 i have Tahoe cherry bordeaux cabinets,Will the zodiac cappachino will go for countertop with pacific creama floor tile?
    • All Granite and Marble 03:14PM, Mar 5 2010 Archana: Yes.
  • jessica 07:13PM, Feb 17 2010 I am planning to do coffee glaze cabinets. Which granite counter top will look grate
    • All Granite and Marble 10:59AM, Feb 18 2010 jessica: Try Santa Cecilia, or Butterfly Antique for a darker option.
  • Rao 03:33PM, Feb 15 2010 I have maple wood with rouge finish kitchen cabinets,I need help in decding which color granite goes best for the kitchen countertop. Thanks a lot in advance!!!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:10AM, Feb 16 2010 Rao: So far, have you been thinking about a light or dark granite?
  • Wallace 08:59PM, Feb 6 2010 I have white/butterscotch cabinets and juparana vyara countertops. I didn't think the countertops would have so much of a peach undertone. Any ideas how to get the countertops and cabinets to flow now with a combination of backsplash and wall paint ideas??? The butterscotch and juparana vyara doesnt match very well.
    • All Granite and Marble 04:51PM, Feb 8 2010 Wallace: Try tumbled travertine tile as backsplash and a light creme for the walls.
  • Donna 12:51AM, Jan 7 2010 That would go well with the beige cabinets. What do you think about red cotton? Grest site!
    • All Granite and Marble 08:24AM, Jan 7 2010 Donna: Beautiful, it's not that dark like you wanted but still contrasts the cabinets and compliments the floor. Another stone to consider in that shade is the Bordeaux.
  • Donna and 11:17PM, Jan 5 2010 The floor is a red color (like a brick). They are octagon shaped (or maybe 6 sided) and look like a smooth brick.
  • Donna 07:35PM, Jan 4 2010 I was thinking of going light given the size. The other problem is that the floors are a brick like tile.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:16AM, Jan 5 2010 Donna: What color is the floor tile? You may want a granite that has some floor color in it to compliment each other.
  • Donna 07:05PM, Jan 3 2010 I have a small kitchen with oak color cabinets and brick like tiles. I wan to paint the cabinets a lighter color (maybe cream). What color would you suggest for granite, backsplash, and tile?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:10AM, Jan 4 2010 Donna: If you paint your cabinets cream, it's a very open plan. You could go dark or light with the granite...which side are you leaning towards?
  • Tina 06:43PM, Dec 28 2009 I have a butterscotch wood floor and light cream kitchen appliances. Which type/stain wood cabinets and what color granite countertop would look best? I am thinking about cherry wood chocolate glaze or maple cognac glaze for cabinets. Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 08:57AM, Dec 29 2009 Tina: Well, for cherry cabinets look at Giallo Ornamental as a light option or Pocono Green for a dark. With maple you could consider Tropical Brown, or Ubatuba.
  • Carla 10:16AM, Oct 26 2009 I just refinished my kitchen, maple cranberry cabinets, sierra oak floors, stainless steel appliances and new ven gold granite, can't figure out a paint color for the walls, any suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:12PM, Oct 26 2009 Carla: Maybe a warm shade of yellow?
  • Angie 11:42PM, Aug 27 2009 We have dark cognac cabinets and are looking for a granite that is cream with gold accents. What would you recommend that would really pop against darker cabinets? Also, what color ceramic tile would you go with for the floor and / or backdrop?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:31AM, Aug 28 2009 Angie: Something like Golden Beach EX or Colonial Cream would look beautiful.
  • Susan 11:02PM, Aug 23 2009 I am ordering honey maple cabinets, plan to install nutmeg finish hickory flooring. What granite color would you recommend? I am currently looking at new venetian gold and giallo ornamentale. Would this be enough contrast? Thank you!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:50AM, Aug 24 2009 Susan: Take a look at Giallo Ornamental.
  • jen 11:20PM, Apr 11 2009 We have Kraftmaid cherry cabinets in a kaffe finish (pretty dark) and medium brown tile...any suggestions on granite color for our bathroom?
  • Joan 01:43AM, Feb 13 2009 We have a 3/4 pine stain on oak cabinets, oak floors, black appliances and wrought iron fixtures/knobs. I'm torn between lighter or darker granite. I know more brown would be too much, so I'd like to have something with black in it but not completely black. Any suggestions? I saw a Giallo Portabella sample, but not sure if the pattern will be too "busy."
    • All Granite and Marble 09:48AM, Feb 13 2009 Joan: I don't think it would be too busy. Then again you said you want to stay away from brown. Let's do this. Send me a photo of you kitchen using the Contact Us form and I'll see what I can suggest for you. It's much easier working with pictures.
  • Patty 10:46PM, Dec 30 2008 Thanks a ton for your review. I had initially shortlisted 3 countertop colors: 1. Santa Cecilia Classic 2. New Venetion Gold 3. Giallo Ornamental But with the Rouge cabinets thought that SCC would be the best choice. Kindly let me know your views
    • All Granite and Marble 09:25AM, Jan 2 2009 Patty: Ultimately, it is your kitchen and my suggestions can be thrown out the window. But, I do like your list and think that all of these colors would work well. Which one you end up getting is really up to you. Also, you have the visuals of your kitchen while I don't, so I would tend to trust you on the selection. :)
  • Patty 06:57PM, Dec 28 2008 I have selected Kincaid Maple Rouge cabinets for my kitchen, would santa cecilia classic countertop look good? The flooring & backsplash being pacific oro tile with inserts. Please help me deciding on the color.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:27AM, Dec 30 2008 Patty: It's a good match. Have you tried any stones from the Giallo family?
  • Ron 01:33PM, Dec 13 2008 I have ordered autumn cherry cabinets, and am deciding on a countertop. Would uba tuba be too dark?
    • All Granite and Marble 06:01PM, Dec 16 2008 Ron: Too dark? Perhaps. My concern is the fact that Uba Tuba is a Dark Green. Greens and reds seldomly go together.
  • lOIS 05:18PM, Nov 25 2008 I HAVE WALNUT KITCHEN CABINETS AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT GRANITE WOULD LOOK AWESOME FOR AN OLD WORLD FEEL.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:56AM, Nov 26 2008 lOIS: If you want to go light, I would suggest something like Bianco Romano. For darker colors, try Platinum Bahia.
  • lisa 06:13AM, Oct 7 2008 I have very deep mahogany cabinets in kitchen and a walnut wood floor that compliments. This Juparana Golden Vyara looks great, but I find that there is so much variation with different slabs. What main colors should I be looking for in the granite to get the look in the above picture.
    • All Granite and Marble 01:13PM, Oct 8 2008 lisa: If you allow some grey into the mix, you'd have much easier time finding the stone. This Juparana is pretty rare.
  • mario 10:00PM, Jul 30 2008 We have cherry ginger cabinets with black pearl granite countertops. Could you suggest what clour of hardwood floor we should be looking for? We have a large open concept kitchen and 9' ceilings.
    • All Granite and Marble 06:00PM, Aug 11 2008 mario: I think a natural cherry should work.
  • Tasia 07:37PM, Jul 7 2008 I have maple cabinets and white appliances. I want to replace my sink - white? and granite verde ventura/creama bordeaux? Which would look best? Thank you.
    • All Granite and Marble 05:40PM, Jul 17 2008 Tasia: Two different approaches but both are good. Take a walk around your house and see which color appears more often. People subconsciously surround themselves with what they like.
  • Lynn 09:43PM, Jul 3 2008 Dark cherry cabinets, black appliances, a tad lighter hardwood floor. Should I use uba tuba or santa cecilia?
    • All Granite and Marble 05:32PM, Jul 17 2008 Lynn: Are the cabinets reddish (like here)? If so, uba tuba won't be so great. Generally light against dark looks better than dark on dark.
  • Christopher 05:27PM, Jun 3 2008 Is it possible to get a sample piece of this granite counter top before purchasing?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:59AM, Jun 30 2008 Christopher: Absolutely, you can pick one up from our showroom.
  • vandy 01:45AM, May 31 2008 Dark cherry cabinet, slightly lighter cherry floor ,will dark cconter to(Sapphire pearl) with ss appliances work
    • All Granite and Marble 10:24AM, Jun 25 2008 vandy: It might get too dark (gloomy) in the kitchen. How much light do you have?
  • Billy 08:36PM, May 16 2008 We're using Vyara in a m.bath with traditional cherry cabinets. Do you know of any specific porcelain tile to go with it? We picked a tile called Glance Flame that has the similar pattern as vyara(but it may have more red hues). We're stuck, can you help? Also, does vyara granite come in different colors? You mentioned this one is beige?
    • All Granite and Marble 03:44PM, Jun 18 2008 Billy: As with most stones, it will vary to a certain degree depending on the batch it came from. As far as trying to match the tiles' pattern and color, I wouldn't recommend that. Try to go for something of a similar warmth and you should be fine.
  • Ken Thomas 08:07AM, Apr 27 2008 We have cherry cabinets,Medium gray tile floor and black stove/dishwasher.Dark green or black for counter top? The kitchen is small
    • All Granite and Marble 04:05PM, May 19 2008 Ken Thomas: If the kitchen is small, then you should be looking at a light color for the tops. No need to make it even heavier.
  • Aneta 07:34PM, Apr 15 2008 I have dark mahagony cabinets. I like contrast but not too busy. do you think suggest? Juperano gold ok?
    • All Granite and Marble 01:02PM, Apr 16 2008 Aneta : It's a very subtle stone. Should work well.
  • sara 03:26PM, Feb 26 2008 the cabinet color is chocolate
    • All Granite and Marble 08:56AM, Feb 29 2008 sara: In that case, a warm green should work.
  • sara 09:58PM, Feb 24 2008 I have lighting under the cabinets and plan on using a stainless steel look backslash to break up the dark. I am not stuck on the green but seem to always be drawn to it. What do you suggest?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:51AM, Feb 26 2008 sara: Tell me exactly what color the cabinets are. If there is too much red in them, green won't look so great.
  • sara 05:27PM, Feb 20 2008 Hello, I have cherry chocolate cabinets and want to get tunas green granite counter tops i like the warm feeling but am still undecided on the color, do you think this will look ok?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:22AM, Feb 21 2008 sara: Ok? Probably. But not too thrilling. Are you set on green?
  • Sarah 01:52PM, Feb 15 2008 Cabinets will be cherry with cabernet stain, all stainless appliances and oak wood floors. At a loss for granite color, I like the above, but always thought of going darker. Any suggestions? My kitchen is on the small size about 10x12.
  • Suzy 10:01PM, Jan 11 2008 I have similar cabinets and love this countertop. I am also interested in a tumbled marble backsplash. Is this backsplash the chiaro?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:18AM, Jan 16 2008 Suzy: Can't answer the backsplash question as this is not our area of work.
  • Dana 05:22PM, Oct 26 2007 I have honey maple cabinets with a multi-color slate kitchen floor. I am interested in a black galaxy countertop but not sure if I should go light or dark with a contertop. Thanks!
  • Dana 05:11PM, Oct 26 2007 My intial question was in regards to the cabintry and countertop. I will try to post my question once again for a response.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:01AM, Nov 5 2007 Dana: A) The picture above features Dark cherry wood, not maple. B) the countertops are not Black galaxy. C) The floor is wood. So what is the relevance of your question?
  • Dana 09:53AM, Oct 23 2007 I asked a question over a week ago. Since then I have come back daily to see a response, but one never given. As I checked today I realized that it has been deleted all together. Is this website no longer answering questions?
    • All Granite and Marble 02:59PM, Oct 24 2007 Dana: If you read the rules that govern posting of comments on the website, you will find that comments that are not directly relevant to the photo are removed. When commenting, refer to the elements in the photos, such as granite, cabinetry, tiles used, etc.
  • Liz 02:12PM, Oct 10 2007 I have cherry cabinets and black fixtures. Natural Brick floor. What color granite would work for my kitchen??
    • All Granite and Marble 10:40AM, Oct 15 2007 Liz: You're looking at one option. A light color will definitely be a good choice.
  • Leslie 07:29PM, Sep 21 2007 I have honey oak colored floors. and am thinking of using a expresso colored cabinets, with either Venetian Gold granite or golden leaf. The rest of the room has gold tones with black accents. What do you think?

  • lisa 09:40AM, Sep 21 2007 Would you suggest a floor color for giallo vincenza granite and autumn cherry cabinets?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:42AM, Sep 21 2007 lisa: Is it tile or wood?
  • meens 02:52PM, Aug 31 2007 I have ordered cherry shaker cabinets and am confused about the countertop selection. Thinking of Madura Gold. Will this go well?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:39PM, Sep 6 2007 meens: Yes, that should be fine. Try something light.
  • erin 01:20PM, Aug 29 2007 I have white cabinets and a honey-colored wood floor. I would like a neutral granite. Would either Giallo Vincenza or Crystal Gold work well?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:36PM, Sep 6 2007 erin: Yes. These are the most sensible choices.
  • Desparate 11:39AM, Aug 3 2007 Push has come to shove and I must make a decision by Tuesday. My cabinets are lightly autumn stained cherry. Will the gold stones clash? I had in mind Giallo Vincenza but am reconsidering Juparana Gold to avoid a clash. Please help.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:03AM, Aug 11 2007 Desparate: Juparana will be a lighter, less busy. I'd go with that.
  • All Granite and Marble 11:15AM, Jul 11 2007 I like Verde Butterfly idea but I think that Giallo Ornamental has enough white in the background to match the cabinets. It will look good.
  • Clair 09:56PM, Jul 7 2007 I have white cabinets and stainless steel appliances.Do you think Giallo Ornamental would be a nice compliment. I thought about Verde Butterfly but I seem to have trouble designing the other rooms around the kitchen to compliment the contrast.Any other suggestions???
  • All Granite and Marble 05:23PM, Jun 15 2007 It can definitely differ, as long as it is not dark like the cabinets.
  • Giovanni 01:54PM, Jun 5 2007 I have dark cherry cabinets like the ones in picture 27. What color granites go with these cabinets and what color flooring should i go with? Should the flooring be close to the granite or can it differ. thanks.
  • All Granite and Marble 09:04AM, Jun 4 2007 As a natural stone, this is fire resistant. I mean you can really put a torch to it.
  • rusul 01:51PM, May 26 2007 thanks for reply me, could you please give me an idea about its bonding, fire resistance????
  • All Granite and Marble 08:52AM, May 25 2007 Juparana Golden Vyara

  • amy 07:30AM, May 18 2007 I have kraftmaid ginger glaze cabinets in my small kithen Can you suggest a granite color for me that would look good with white appliances
    • All Granite and Marble 09:48AM, May 23 2007 Amy: Stick to something light. Perhaps you could try Santa Cecilia or Giallo Ornamental.
  • Linda 04:34PM, May 16 2007 I am getting white cabinets. I have brown/beige travertine and tan walls. I'd like to stay in the brown/gold colors. Do you have any suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:43AM, May 23 2007 Linda: You can always use the Juparana Golden Vyara.
  • sarah 10:31PM, May 6 2007 lease reccommend a granite pattern for me. I am getting Kraftmaid dark cherry-cabernet-cabinets. I am just not sure what to get.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:51AM, Feb 21 2008 Sarah: Going darker is ok, as long as it's not too dark. Make sure you have enough light on the tops.
  • All Granite and Marble 09:51AM, Apr 27 2007 Elizabeth: Black will look good anywhere, but keep in mind that it will make your kitchen look smaller.
  • All Granite and Marble 09:50AM, Apr 27 2007 You're obviously drawn to reds, and that's ok. But maybe you could try a nice rich gold to break it up a bit?

    • All Granite and Marble 10:03AM, Apr 27 2007 Lois, What is the cabinet color? Going in the dark here but I'd suggest a very strong and deep gold, Golden Beach or Madura gold perhaps.
  • Elizabeth Ozark 05:41PM, Apr 20 2007 I have white cabinets and multi beige colored ceramic tiles on the floor. Would black granite look okay. You suggestions
  • Charles Dalton 04:18PM, Apr 20 2007 What color granite is appropriate for this situation? Cherry(maroonish) cabinets, terra cota tile floor(hues of plum, maroons), ss appliances. It's a nice combo but we find that none of the lighter granites go well with the tile. dakota mahogany seems perfect w/ the flecs of maroonish/browns, black, hues of blue and silver. thoughts?
  • All Granite and Marble 09:00AM, Apr 19 2007 Call them directly at 570-421-3333. I think this stone could work, but it will depend on just how dark the cabinets are.

  • Jen 04:22PM, Apr 6 2007 We just got Giallo Vincenza granite and we don't like it with our reddish-brown cabinets. What lighter color cabinets might you suggest? We have stainless and black appliances.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:07AM, Apr 14 2009 jen: If you like darker tones, then I would suggest Crema Bordeaux. It both cherry and brown accents, and it's my personal favorite for cherry cabinets. On the other hand you could also go with something more toned down, that would be Crema Marfil (marble).
  • All Granite and Marble 01:06PM, Apr 2 2007 Even if it does, it's ok as long as the contrast between the tops and cabinets is preserved.
  • Michelle 12:32PM, Mar 29 2007 With walnut travertine floor & noce tumbled marble, would this Juperana Vyara Gold be too similar to floor & backsplash?
