  • Pat 01:40PM, Feb 26 2010 I just had my oak cabinets restained medium dark & installed Marazzi Vesale Stone porcelian tile 20 X 20 in the rust color for the floors. Walls painted beige with tea stain & am totally lost as to the color of granite. I am afraid the tan brown sample I have would be to dark although I have 2 windows in that kitchen and breakfast area. Would something like Giallo Santo, G ornamental or Milky White be the way to go? Please help, will be granite shopping AGAIN this weekend.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:51AM, Feb 27 2010 Pat: Find a balance. If Tan Brown is too dark, i'd say something like Milky White is too light. Giallo Ornamental or Tahoe would be excellent choices.
  • Mary 05:24AM, Jan 24 2010 I took a look at your suggestions and I like them all. I forgot to mention that I currently have white appliances and my ceramic tile floor is like a blush peachy color whith shades of white. I am especially fond of the butterfly antique, eventhough, I was orginally looking for a lighter color, like your other suggestion, Tropical Brown. Do you think that the Butterfly family is too much of a contrast with the white appliances?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:06AM, Jan 25 2010 Mary: Absolutely not, it will look gorgeous!
  • Mary 12:43AM, Jan 22 2010 Thanks for your suggestions I will take a look at those. Would you consider the Milky white with the color Cider as well?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:53AM, Jan 22 2010 Mary: That's a bit of a stark combination, for light options perhaps something like Juparana Classico or Silky Yellow will fit better.
  • Mary 03:16AM, Jan 20 2010 The cabinet maker calls the color cider, it is a maple wood, some call it ginger.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:31AM, Jan 20 2010 Mary: I see, i'd consider Tropical Brown, or a stone in the Butterfly family (Butterfly Antique or Butterfly Jade).
  • Mary 07:42PM, Jan 15 2010 I am looking at the lighter colors. I was orginally looking at black, but I have been hearing that it needs a little more attention to keep it looking clean
    • All Granite and Marble 08:24AM, Jan 16 2010 Mary: The only issue with black is it shows smudges, so it you don't like that you will have to wipe it down often. What color are your cabinets?
  • Mary 04:33AM, Jan 15 2010 What color granite looks good with maple cabinets color Cider
    • All Granite and Marble 09:07AM, Jan 15 2010 Mary: Are you leaning toward the light or dark granites?
  • Sherry Lynn Griffin 08:48PM, Jul 13 2009 will dark cherry cabinets go well with gallio ornamental?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:58AM, Jul 14 2009 Sherry Lynn Griffin: Stunning combination! Giallo Ornamental will create plenty of contrast for your cherry cabinets.
  • Ellen 06:29PM, Feb 13 2009 What colour granite work top goes with chartered oak
    • All Granite and Marble 10:04AM, Feb 16 2009 Ellen: Many fit the bill. Do you have any favorite colors that you would like to use?
  • Elizabeth 09:04PM, Jan 10 2008 What color granite with Med. oak cabinets & hardwood floor/White appliance/Bronze light fixtures?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:16AM, Jan 16 2008 Elizabeth: Well, this one will match. But any of the light tops will complete your look.
  • Lynda 06:01PM, Jul 13 2007 What color is good in a small kithen without a window (natural maple cabinets and stainless steel appliances)
    • All Granite and Marble 04:05PM, Jul 17 2007 Lynda: Something light with a little bit of Contrast. Giallo Veneziano or Giallo Ornamental.
  • Giselle 10:34PM, Jun 27 2007 What is the granite name for image #43/196.
  • All Granite and Marble 09:15AM, Apr 5 2007 Different granites have different densities, and so the problem of chipping will vary depending on the stone itself. If you are worried about chipping, choose an edge that has smoother cuts, like a Flat Ogee.
  • Lisa 07:22PM, Apr 4 2007 What does that exactly mean? I am thinking of getting a Granite called Lady Dream. I believe it is from India. Do you know anything about this stone.
  • All Granite and Marble 02:00PM, Apr 2 2007 The chipping depends more on the stone itself.
  • Lisa 02:00PM, Apr 1 2007 Would you recommend as ogee edge? Friends have this edge and claimed they got chips in the sharp edge. Is this possible and can you recommend something similar that I wouldn't have to worry about.
  • All Granite and Marble 12:21PM, Mar 26 2007 Not sure what the difference is as I have never seen lirio. If it is a Juparana, then it can't be too far off from this.
  • All Granite and Marble 12:12PM, Mar 26 2007 No, although that is a similar color.
  • dick 04:13PM, Mar 11 2007 I've seen a granite called juparana lirio, that looks very similar to this? What's the difference?
  • Giselle 09:55PM, Mar 7 2007 Is this called Kashmere white aswell.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:02AM, Jul 11 2007 Giselle: Milky White
  • All Granite and Marble 02:19PM, Mar 5 2007 The #s: 316, 317, 485
