Hi there. I've created a Comparison Table so we can easy see the two choices side-by-side and compare them effectively: http://www.marble.com/material... As you can see, the Tropical Brown is a darker stone with a more consistent, tight grain while the Shalimar Gold is a lighter stone with warm, golden highlights and some pinkish undertones as well. Therefore, it depends on if you want to contrast and offset the white cabinets (Tropical Brown in this situation) or complement the cabinets and pick-up the flooring (Shalimar Gold for this set-up). Personally, I am leaning toward the Shalimar Gold, but make sure to look at the full slabs in-person and pick your favorite one as there are differences between each delivery of this particular stone because it has plenty of movement. Let me know your thoughts.
We are replacing our countertops with granite. We have white cabinets, stainless appliances and oak flooring. We are considering Tropical Brown or Shalimar Gold. Any thoughts?
