We have 2 different colors of cabinets: ash and crimson red (sort of like this website) from Diamond. We also have ash floors. What color granite would suggest to tie the whole thing together. |

ladyrose: They are all very similar stones from the same family with variations in color tone, and the verde butterfly will create a warm, traditional atmosphere in your kitchen. |

Bob: I think you will be alright with the shade, but a lighter option in the greens is Pocono Green. This pattern is not overwhelming, it will look good. |

The floors are off white tile; the cabinets will; probably be very light maple. It\'s a small kitchen, but well-lit, and lake views in Florida and are leaning towards a darkish counter. Would a strong pattern be overwhelming? Would this be too dark. |

anu: You might want to look at Butterfly Green, it is a little lighter, will make the kitchen look more spacious. How is the natural light in your kitchen? |

anita: I think white would go well with the appliances.. Black is ok with the stone itself though. |

Kathy: It won't be as contrasting as the Galaxy, but I like the idea of a well defined pattern. That alone should make it pop. |

Thank you. I went out looking again today and found a granite named Golden Sun. Lots of gray, creamy white, rust, warm tan, copper, etc, with movement like Creama Bourdeau. Does that sound better? Galaxy scares me--contrast and upkeep! |

Kathy: Yes, finding a white granite is going to be nearly impossible. I would stick to other colors. As far as the butterfly goes, it might not go too well wit the red oak floor. Galaxy is a fine choice, but be prepared to have a lot of contrast. |

red oak floors stained lt-med nutmeg, white cabinets, stainless appliances. There is gold, copper, dark brown nearby & large NE windows. How about Galaxy with a copper backsplash or V. Butterfly with a matching BSp? Other suggestions? The white has been difficult, since stones in granites are often cream or gray, etc. |

Jean: Pink vs Green. That color combination might not go together so well. It really depends on what kind of pinkish tones we're talking about. My suggestion is to get a sample and put them together. |

Sue: Butterfly is always a good match to maple. Keep in mind that this is a green and might prevent you from using reds in the rest of the decor. |

cabinets are pickled oak w/pinkish tones, floor is multicolored w/teal&grey plus others, backsplash is white; appliances stainless.....will butterfy go with this combo or have I fallen in love with the wrong color granite? |

We're doing a kitchen remodel, have oak (med) floors, are using Hickory cupboards in a "Cinnamon" (brown/red medium) finish, and looking for advice on a countertop. |

byron francois: Butterfly might be too green for your cabinets. Try to find something in the browns and golds. |
