Jeff: A darker granite is more appropriate for your cabinet color. Have you considered a green tone? Take a look at Butterfly Green. A different direction would be a stone like Tropical Brown.

We are trying to decide what style (color) of granite to get for our kitchen. Our cabinets are a lighter maple. Do you think we need to contrast this with a darker color or would one of the lighter granites work?

I love the dark green color in emerald pearl granite. However, I don't like the bling. Can you suggest granites whose color are similar to Emerald Pearl but has no bling in it? Thanks.

I have bazilian redwood floors, white pickled cabinets and verde uba tuba granite counter tops. What color backsplash would you suggest?

Laks: A simple brick design will suffice, and the wildlands savane looks stunning, go for it!

Thanks! I liked wildlands savane tiles for the flooring. Is this too rustic for my kitchen? I also liked a terracotta color tile from Level USA. Since I am not sure about Level USA company, I am leaning towards the wildlands savane. This comes in various sizes, should I do simple 18x18 brick pattern or should I go with a random design? Thanks again!

Laks: I meant to write Ceramic :-) Pick your favorite color of cream/beige and go from there.

Thanks for a prompt response! Could you please tell me what is "crematic" tile you have recommeded for the floor? Is this any cream colored ceramic?

Laks: Crematic tile looked better over hardwood floors with this granite, and it should be a lighter shade of beige. Backsplash could be tumbled marble or slate.

Yvette: Seems like it your compliment the floor and contrast the cabinets which is a good thing. You should put a sample of our cabinetry against a slab of this granite to see if you like how the two colors go together.

I have emerald pearl countertop and off white(ivory) cabinets. What colors will go well for the backsplash and kitchen floor?

I have a light grey ceramic tile with darker tones mixed in on my kitchen floor. The grout is dark grey but looks black on the floor. My cabients are a medium oak color(warm) and I really like the emerald pearl stone, but I am not sure if it will work with my floor and cabinets. Please advise. I need help!!!

Hi, Thank you so much for responding. I really love the idea of a creamy tile. Will this look okay with a bright white tub? I also have a clear shower door. Thank you!

Nerissa: You should go light, anything creamy will work.

Hi, I have Emerald Pearl floor tiles and vanity top with a white vanity base. Can you please suggest an interesting/appropriate color tile (ceramic or glass) for my shower walls?

Off white cabinets, emerald pearl counter tops. Trying to find out what color of back splash to do?

Keta: They're not that far from each other. I think it would work just as well.

I started with travertine floor tiles and lattice diagonally crossed absolute black granite with uba tuba 4x4 squares at the intersection of the black. Cabinets off white with brown glaze. Now, want to change from uba tuba, which as supposed to be the countertop color, to emerald pearl. Would that work, or some combination of brown, black and cream?

Julie: My first thought was Crema Bordeaux, but it's not on the modern side. You can try something with less veins, like Tan Brown.

I'm trying to figure out granite countertop, backsplash, fireplace coloring. I have white cabinets, oak flooring tan walls, reds and blacks for decorating. The family room and kitchen are open together so I am hoping to tie in colors to match backsplash and fireplace. I have more of a modern style going on. Black leather couches and the same white cabinets in the family room.

Sue: It works on the basis of contrast. Although it may be nice to have a hint of the cabinet color in the stone, it's not necessary. You can add warmth to the kitchen by using a light colored backsplash. A nice golden travertine would do that.

We have natural oak cabinets and floor. I love Emerald Pearl but have been told that we need a "warm" granite because of the golden tones in the oak yet dark for contrast. Do you think Emerald Pearl would work? Any ideas on backsplash color?

hanh: I'm guessing your Brazilian cherry cabinets are quite red. Emerald Pearl, even though it might not look like it here, is a dark green stone. Green and Red usually don't mix well in a kitchen setting. I suggest looking for something else. You might like blue pearl.

i have brazilian cherry cabinets.would emeral pearl countertop go well with it and what kind of color tiles for floors?thanks

Kate: Definitely a black cooktop with this stone. I think the opalescent tile can enhance the look if used carefully (don't overdo it). Overall you will get a lot of contrast from the white cabinetry.

Tom: Yes it should work very well. Blue Pearl will have the same "bling".

I have Bianco Sardo (coarse Luna Pearl) floors, cabinets will be off-white w/ glaze; how will Emerald Pearl countertops look with ss appliances - will dark opalescent mosaic tile give it enough pop? And, with dark granite countertops, ss or black gas cooktop to make it disappear?

I absolutely love the bling in Emerald pearl. We have oak cabinets that will remain. Will the two work together? If not, what other granite with bling will work?

Katie: Should be fine. For the tiles I would suggest a darker shade of beige.

I am planning to have this stone in my kitchen with maple cashew cabinet. Do you think this will go well? What color tiles for floor and backsplash ? Thanks.

Sherry: I guess it would depend on how red the cherry is. If it's just brown, then I don't see a problem.

Can you suggest, how would the emerald pearl countertops look with cherry brown cabinets and light color tile(stone/ceramic) backsplash?
