Jen: A granite with a golden tone will look rich and warm against your cherry cabinets, go with the Veneziano!

I have whiskey cherry cabinets, cafe colored tile floor, and stainless appliances. Would Giallo Fiorti, Vicenza, or Veneziano look best?

Sue: Might be a little too close in color tone, try Tropical Brown.

I have dark cognac cabinets and light gold floor tile. Is Giallo Veneziano a suitable choice for granite piece?

gina: NVG and SC are very similar, NVG is a little warmer while SC has more black. GV is more brown. I'd go with New Venetian Gold.

Trying to decide between NVG, SC, and GV with maple cabs (ginger spice, mocha glaze) and light honey oak flooring, stainless appliances. Want something timeless and traditional. All 3 of these samples look similar to me in person, what are the main differences?

Andy: I'm leaning towards the Yosimite Sand, it's very warm and inviting.

Andy: Different fabricators gives stones their own name, it gets quite confusing.

today I went to pick out my granite countertop,it said Giallo Italy on the back, the owner said it was Giallo Venziano Italy,it very much looked liked the granite in this picture.not sure why he called it one name and another was printed on the back.

Amy: It's really a matter of going dark or light. Veneziano looks good with Oak, as does the Butterfly. Considering you have lots of light, I would lean towards going with a darker granite, plus it will contrast the cabinets beautifully.

I have oak cabinets, oak hardwood floors, white appliances to be replaced with stainless as they wear out except for dishwasher which will be replaced with granite install. Home is only eight years old so fairly current in kitchen design. Walls are currently lighter than sage green but color most likely will be changed after granite install. We are going back and forth between Giallo Veneziano and similar lighter granites - Giallo Napolean, Santa Cecilia and darker granites - Verde Butterfly, Verde Peacock, Emerald Pearl, or black/grays. Kitchen is large with attached 4 window bay for dining so it gets a lot of light. Opinions?

One more question...do you have any other suggestion of a granite that would look good with the honey-spice maple cabinets? Possibly one that would give more contrast. I'm not totally attached to Giallo Veneziano but I do like it.

Micki: I would go with Giallo Veneziano.

I have honey-spice maple cabinets with a beigey-marble like ceramic tile floor. The floor tile has a hint of a mild rust color in it. I'm looking at either Santa Cecilia or Giallo Veneziano for the bathroom countertop with a white sink. What do you think?

How do you think this countertop would look with cherry cabinets (chestnut stain) and oak hardwood floors? Too light? Too dark? Just right?
