Tracy: It's rather fragile and not recommended for kitchen use. It usually comes in very small slabs making it that much more difficult to use. And for the most part, it is more expensive than granite.

I have never seen onyx before, it's lovely! How is the durability for kitchen countertop use vs. granite? Is it much more costly than granite? Thanks!
